With its future software upgrades, iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 , Apple is slated to introduce a flurry of new changes to iPhones and iPads, which the firm is expected to reveal during its WWDC 2022 developer keynote on June 6.  According to Bloomberg, upgrades to the iPhone include notifications, messaging, and the Health app . Last year, Apple also offered new notification features, such as the ability to group them together into a summary at a specified time of day and a new Focus mode that limits the number of notifications you see at specific times. At Apple's WWDC presentation next week, it's possible that significant modifications to the iOS lock screen could be announced. Bloomberg's Mark Grumman disclosed in the newest issue of his Power On newsletter that Apple has been working on a new always-on display capability for the iOS lock screen that could be exclusive to new iPhones releasing this Fall.   "Apple is contemplating big lock screen enhancements, including wallpapers with widget-like functionality," Gurman stated. "Furthermore, I'm told that iOS 16 includes future support for an always-on lock screen, which Apple had planned for the iPhone 13 last year." This would allow the iPhone to display instantly glanceable information while lowering the frame rate on the lock screen, similar to how newer Apple Watches do."
